National Census

A short educational poem in metered rhyme arguing for the need to declare Nationality.

Friday/Venusday/Loveday/Moneyday, 1489 Mc

National Census

Nationality. Every human

must have one

or governments of Earth sustain

one at next best as Citizen,

which means property won

by default, usually religion

Choosing a nationality is free

and everyone has the Right

yet, one’s choice may change, see?

Choose and maybe one understood

But choose, Human, or lose

from thinking Citizen good

Choosing a nationality is like picking up a gun

One may shoot more than once and reload

Is there a reason to wait

on the bottom with other crabs stopped?

A crab can always fall back to bait

Or aim for the top.
